Vientiane Pattana School International
Vientiane Pattana School (VPS) is a bilingual school located in Vientiane, Laos. The school was established on January 12, 1999, and received official documentation from the Ministry of Education in 2001. The school's mission is to educate and prepare students to be active, involved citizens and lifelong learners.
VPS initially started as a nursery and kindergarten, following the Lao syllabus offered by the Ministry of Education. The school director, Ms. Jackie Inthavong, had a vision of offering quality education to Vientiane's youth and also taught English to ensure that students could understand and grasp the English language from a young age.
As the school grew, it expanded to include a primary section. Year by year, the school added grades until it reached Year 5. Responding to parents' requests, VPS continued to offer three more years of education until the students were older and could go abroad to study.
After years of offering only junior secondary education, VPS decided to construct a new building to accommodate high school students. This expansion reflects the school's commitment to providing a comprehensive education to its students.
Vientiane Pattana School started with just three students in a single classroom. Over the years, the school has seen significant growth and positive additions to its community. VPS remains dedicated to serving its students and their families, striving to provide the best possible education and support.
Overall, Vientiane Pattana School has evolved from a small nursery and kindergarten to a comprehensive educational institution offering bilingual education to students from 2-18 years of age. The school's commitment to quality education and its growth over the years demonstrate its dedication to serving the community and preparing students for their future endeavors.
